Surprise.. Surprise..

Balloons =D

Woke up today with a headache, and seems nobody's there to have fa6oor with but my sisters.. -I'm not complaining- We had a party for my sis yesterday, she's a 21 year old now.. I kinda screwed up her head a lot, as I had to make it a real surprise, I told her we're going to meet some friends and I was in my abaya =D and she bought it! While her friends were gathering up in our basement!! Making balloons and getting ready.. I called her @10 pm told her that I am in the car waiting and she should go get the Karaoke from the basement and come; she screamed at me; "It's not that we're ONLY late, kaman; KARAOKE IN RAMDAN!!" I was like "just bring it!!" And she came down the basement and we were all there and whoa she didn't see that one coming! I am satisfied =D

See, the thing with surprise parties is; that the person you're supposed to be surprising, knows it and expects it most of the time, sometimes is nice and acts surprised and all.. But in her case we already had a family party on Sunday -the actual day of her birthday- So, she thought in the gathering we'll have cake and she's gonna get gifts and that's it.

I, for one, had the worst surprises, I was never surprised! Till last year.. When I turned 21, and I didn't make a big deal out of it, I was gonna start a new job in a week, and was saying good-bye to the lazy simple life. I got a couple of calls and sms's that day, was lazily watched TV.. When mama came with a cake and all the family waraha singing.. I was happy =)

This year, mama missed my birthday, she and dad were in UK for a week, and supposed to come back ON my birthday, but they couldn't get a flight, so they came on Thursday, when my friends were having a "surprise" party at home for me, which I guessed all along, even the activities I guessed, I freaked myself. When mom came, she brought me a Gucci watch that I've wanted!! It was the best birthday, despite me not being surprised.

Newsflash: Taqo's blog is back and kickin!! ;)

For more of my pictures, check my flickr page, yeah, yeah.. I finally got one!

Ramadan Kareem

So, second day of Ramadan already!! Wow. I slept yesterday at 9 PM. Woke up a while ago before fajr, I'm not used to this yet I guess.. I watched Tash el a9le, it was funny!! I don't think everyone agrees with me though! heh..
I'm checking my mail EVERYDAY and I think American Eagle just cancelled my order! They got this stupid new laws in online purchasing, where they added a couple more stuff to guarantee the stupid people don't get robbed! Well, we shouldn't limit ourselves 3ashan a couple of careless online shoppers!! Mn jd matching addresses for the Credit Card holder and the shipping address!! And then that other code they added CVV whatever! I really don't enjoy online shopping as much as I did a while before!
So, now it's 6.30 AM got work in 3 hrs, and nothing to do.. I been hooked on LOST, and been liking Saieed, I thought it was just a crush, but heck, it's episode 26 and I still dig the guy! He's handsome, sweet and strong.. What more does a girl want *dreamyeyes* lol, but hey, he don't look Iraqi to me..
Let me post this, and I'll go watch the rest of it..
Ciao

Need a Slogan?! How About I Want Fo0f ;)

Hello bloggers..

Today was not a good day for me, waking up @ 6AM and arriving work @ 8AM. Being blamed by my boss for something someone else did, and I can't point that out cuz I'd be childish and not nice to that person, and being picked on by the Relationship Managers to do thier jobs, I plugged my headphones and ignored everything in the end!! Raises are supposed to be coming and I should put the workoholic act that everyone is putting, but I'm not in the mood at all..

So, I go home to check my personal e-mail hoping to get a message from American Eagle that my shipment is shipped, and while I am still checking my fifty-something mailbox I bump into
this

You all oughtta try it. You put a word and it makes a slogan out of it!! Check these out:
  • Can You Tell Nouf From Butter?
  • Yo Quiero Fo0f.

Woohoo, what does that mean =P it means I WANT FOOF!! Lol, might as well print it on a Tee!

P.S. UmEeE:

It's not an achievement 2 make 100 FRiENDS in a Year, but an achievement is 2 make a FRiEND for 100 Years, 'N' I know I've made ONE, that's . . . YOU !!~I wanted to sms you but you know I can't ='(

I wish U a happy birthday and may you get real big goals to achieve for next year, and always know I'll be there for you if you needed any help to achieve them!!

Check out the koooolest B Day Cake, for my somewhat in-a-workaholic-phase friend =P: (That's how she REALLY looks!!)

UmEe B-Day Cake

What Makes You an Ouzzi This Time Around

Listeneing to: Ydo2 el bab, Amr Diab

Alright, you need to know that the essential thing is to speak English, and if you can read my blog then ok go on, other than English, I think only the Chinese and South Korean can live there as the massive Chinese and South Korean population!

1- Look like them: Well, as per statistics, Australia is the second most diverse country in the world, number one is of course the United States of America *rollingeyes*. I think just add a couple of Latinos and a couple of African American and it’s number one. You’ll fit there wherever you’re originally from.

2- Dress like them: You gotta have 3 noticeable piercings at least, Skinny pants, a dotted red dress/shirt and a stripped yellow cropped jacket, a mini skirt over the skinny pants, it’s all about colors and mismatching!

3- Talk like them: This is quite fun, it reminded me of my summer school days in London when I used to mock the English accent. `
*Here, in the morning "G’Day!".
*Start every sentence with "I reckon".
*Whenever someone says something that requires no response, just say "No worries".
*Replace every "Yes" or "Yeah" with a "Yeey".
*End every sentence with "Mate" or "Love".
*Whenever someone says "thank you" you ALWAYS reply with "No worries".
*Refer to the bathroom as the "Loo" !!
*Try to add a weird English accent to anything you say!Keep on saying "No worries" for no reason whatsoever!!

4- Act like them: Just always try to be funny, be nosey in everyone’s business and when you see someone you THINK you know you scream out and get all high in a crazy way but still be polite and mannered, and you’ll hit Ouzzi.

5- Be one: They just like to be weird, so if you are one, you gotta be a Goth, a Punk, a Transsexual, or just run around cross-dressing in public.

**Note to readers; please feel free to add anything to the list, as per statistics ALSO; Ouzzi land is the number one immigrant destination and we can provide the interested people some help here ;).

~Lol. To sum it up; I lubbed Ouzz

on a slighter note, I stole this off 5aleejee Twixes blog;

You Are Las Vegas

Wild and uninhibited, you enjoy all of life's vices.
You're a total hedonist, especially with sex, gambling, and drinking.
You shine brightly every night, but you do the ultimate walk of shame each morning.

Famous Las Vegas residents: Wayne Newton, Howard Hughes, Penn & Teller, Siegfried & Roy

Irony is Mostly Sad..

Two years ago, I started noticing one of my close relatives had too much appointments and check ups, and I always thought she's just taking care of herself too much; after all she is a doctor!

Well, last summer, she just collapsed; she spit blood, and lost a lot of weight in such a short period! She went to the ER right away that day. I knew something weird was going on, and one of her daughters kept telling us about something she found in the maid's room, which looked like some kinda charm! Someone took it to a shaikh that day. And we never heard the end of that story, we were just terrified.

Two days later, they say they found a tumour in her tummy. And it was the first time she knew about it, turns out she had been checking what's wrong all this time and no one knew!! She had about three surgeries that summer to remove it, and a lot more surgeries to clean what they made!! And told her that by God's well she's gonna be OK, but, had to take chemo!!

She knew what Chemo did to people, and she figured a 5% chance the tumour is coming back is not worth the Chemo. She rested at home at last. In two months she reported back to the hospital where she worked, and we saw her again in gatherings, she was as good as she always was. I always loved her sense of humor. She was always fun to be with.

This summer, we been away, mom tried calling her a couple of times, and she never answered. Mom was always wondering why. Last day, we called one of her daughters, and she told us she's back in hospital, and the tumour is back. Not so much info. But that was enough to make us all feel guilty and sad..

I went to see her the next day I was in Riyo, that's why I couldn't make it to the bloggerts meet-up, and she was so pale, and looked sad. Even her voice wasn't clear!! She didn't move easily cuz of the tumour's big size!! Heck, she even had problems breathing!! And her 25 year old engineer son greets us telling that she's a goner!!! He made us all cry!!! I can't believe that guy!!! (I think he didn't really know what was wrong with his mom) Then, her husband jocks in front of her about a girl flirting with him. THE DAY BEFORE HER SURGERY!!! Talk about caring!!!

She had surgery, removing her Uterus, they say it went well, and I sure hope she's better. No visits are allowed yet, but I really want to see her and hug her, and wish her health! But I don't want to break down crying, she needs everyone to be strong for her!! And it is really hard! She's too young for this!! I know God is testing her faith. But I can't help but think it's unfair, for her, and her 4 year old son ='(

Aunt Najla, this entry is dedicated to you! I wish I can do more, I love you, and I pry for you non stop.
