Do you believe that a single traumatic experience can change a person? And that this change is not going to be in his/her personality, how he/she treats people or life. No, but something deeper, like he/she can't find joy in life! That good things and blessings don't make him/her happy.
When I thought deeply I thought this might be like losing faith, not in the creator, but in people, and things.. And not giving shit about anything anymore! It’s life without hope, it makes no meaning anymore, or gives no joy!
Isn’t that the worst that could happen to a person!
I believe that traumas do bad things to people, things that close people might not understand.. I been reading a lot of psyche books lately and I wish it didn’t kuz it saddens me and makes me look at everyone, in a whole new way!!!
Is it true that time heals all wounds??

Hey Fo0f, great topic..
yes i believe so. unfortunatly that does happen to people. but the thing is, i dont think it lasts forever. it takes some people more time then others i guess.. but yes i'de like to believe that time & having faith in god heals all wounds.
Wound is pain
everything start small then become bigger except pain
it start big then get small
It is just a matter of time ;)
Hello Foof,
sorry for being off with you lately... it seems like your post is actually talking about the reason why.
It's true. Traumas irreversibly change people. Make them afraid, suspicious, mistrusting of people. One catastrophe happens and you lose all sense of self-identity, your trust of society, that they would do the right thing by you...
The thing I disagree with is that time heals it. In my experience, time after trauma doesn't exist. It stops. And you're faced with a silent, isolating limbo. Disorientation is an aspect of it.
Immediately after the trauma, your sleeping pattern changes, normal human activities become futile. Feeding yourself. Washing yourself. Talking...
It's difficult talking about it now. Time won't heal it because time stopped existing. You lose everything you are in that one moment, and anything else is just a half-life. And it's the worst thing anyone should have to live.
no time does not heal all wounds .. but you do !! you heal all wounds .. Each person is in control of what they feel and see.
You must be feeling this way becuse of the type of books you have been reading .. it makes you look for these things ...
if the type of books you were reading are positvie and personal development books then that is what you will start looking for and finding.
You are in control here .. not time
The way people deal with a traumatic incident varies from one person to the other, its really a multiple of factors if you think of it..
theres personality, if u have a positive outlook on life, and how u define the problem as "big" or worth losing faith for.. or not..
Also, different people have different threshold to "breaking down" .. how strong ur faith is really depends on ur experiences, and the cards you have been dealt on the long run..
just a few thoughts.. could go on forever..
i strongly believe that "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" :)
Justified Destiny
Hey! Thanks :$ seems like ur a deep thinker like me.
And it's true that time & having faith in god heals all wounds. But also, personal strenght in a person.. And most probably that's connected to his faith in God!
Desert-Roses
Wounds are pain, yup!

I believe so too! ano time does not heal wounds! You know, in my personal opinion, and what works with me, is talking about the prob, often and often and often, untill it doesnt hurt anymore to talk about it! :D
but talking to wrong ppl sometimes is the bad side of this :P
and i'm reading books about understanding men now :P hope what they say is true kuz i listen to books :D hehe
Fastidious Babe
true true, it differs on the person, and the kinda prob, and the level of faith.. I also believe in that "what doesnt kill you, makes you stronger!"
thanks for your comment and welcome to my blog ;)
Read Men are from Mars; Women are from Venus ... by John Gray ..
Nice book that explains the difference between men and women and the way we think ...
Meeemo
believe it or not i got the book and didnt have time to read it yet! i better start reading :D seems like a great book.
thanks for the tip!
Hi;) I guess it depends on the person, whether they want to let go and move on or not. Some people recieve a huge shock and are never able to recover from it. That's just how they are, they can't move, the shock forever changes them. On the other hand, you have these strong people who are able to take it and withstand all the pain, and become even better people. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." And if the books are making u go crazy stop reading them:P
G&I,
hehe, how confusing is it for to ppl to use one user :P not for u guys, for the readers ;)
as i read what u wrote i can tell it's the sound of reason! ppl who are strong r the ones who make it through life, ppl who are not torn with traumas..
and i love to read it makes my mind think, and we need that in this time where nothing needs thinking anymore!!
time doesn't heal anything and just makes you more angry ..
its all up to the person in the end... if they want to make a change, they have to do it, and force their way to change their life to what makes them happy... ive started doing that recently, before that i was really unhappy... now i decided, screw it, i wont let work take over my life; im working on my hobbies, movies, music, keleshai and making time for all of it :)
ud be surprised at how much 1 incident can change u !!
as 4 time, it dosent heal u, but makes it easier for u to push things to the back of ur head
FourMe
i belive it don't heal either :)
ammaro
its all up to the person in the end. I can relate to everything u've said!
eshda3wa

Bent! esh fee? :S
"Is it true that time heals all wounds??" ummm, NO!!!! not "all" :S
Time soothes, doesn't fix. But when soothing all you got, go for it! =)
